Ray Georgeson Resources provides independent facilitation, research, strategy development and social marketing on resource efficiency for local authorities, businesses, government and its agencies, and the third sector.

The key to my service offer is experience combined with flexibility.  I have a wide range of associates and partners and also work as an associate for others.  It means I have the capacity to provide a tailored response to your business need, ranging from single tasks within my own areas of expertise through to complex projects involving associates and partners. 

My service areas span the range of activity across waste prevention, reuse, recycling collection and market development, and include:

  • Facilitation, chairing and stakeholder engagement
  • Procurement support for local authorities
  • Waste and resource management strategy reviews
  • Social marketing and communications programme design
  • Research and advice for policy and programme development
  • Management support, including interim and project management
  • Business planning and scoping studies

Projects can range from simple assignments such as single event chairing and facilitation, through to complex studies and research, and project management involving many partners and stakeholders.

January 2011 has seen the launch of a new initiative from RGR with Beasley Associates.  Supporting Partnerships is a new support service and website for local authority waste partnerships (and potential partnerships) to support councils in working together more closely to realise effieiency savings and improve waste management servies.  More information is available on the dedicated website www.supportingpartnerships.com

Ray Georgeson Resources works with a range of clients across all the sectors.  Directly or as an associate, since 2008 I have worked with clients as diverse as the Environment Agency, Leeds City Council, English Heritage, Manchester City Council, South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership, Friends of the Earth Trust and the European Environmental Bureau.  As an associate and with RGR, I am a framework contractor to Defra, the European Commission and WRAP.  Recent projects have included:

LARAC - strategic review of business plan and 2010 work plan, including a facilitated workshop

Charnwood Borough Council - facilitation of Councillor and Community Panels consultation on procurement of new environmental services contract

NE Lincs Council - facilitation of scoping event in preparation for development of new waste strategy 

Defra/IESE - with Beasley Associates a National Waste Partnerships Mapping Project, identifying the current status of English municipal waste partnerships and the scope for efficiency savings through better partnership working

Friends of the Earth Trust - new research report examining trends in employment in the waste and resources sector and the scope for job creation through more sustainable waste management - the More Jobs, Less Waste report.


Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility is not simply the preserve of big businesses, SMEs can apply the same principles to the conduct of business. RGR has a CSR policy and here it is.
